Eliza-
Elliot's small hunched figure crouched in the little corner next to the staircase.
I shook my head.
Even after all these years, he still remains the same.
The same little six year old who cried all by himself this same exact spot three years ago.
"Come on Elliot. You are nine years old, not three. Act like it." He didn't budge.
I stood there, not knowing what to do.
I awkwardly patted him on the head. Surprised by this unexpected act of affection, Elliot looked up.
The corners of my lips slightly rose up.
I knew I was too harsh, but circumstances forced me to be this way. As the last two remaining members of the Lenard family, we had to be strong.
For the first time in years, the hopelessness of our situation dawned on me. Elliot and I were all alone, with no one to depend on and no future to look up to.
Rion, why did you abandon us this way?
For the first time in years, my clear translucent blue eyes started to water as I leaned back on the wall, staring up at the cloudy sky that had just started to release little droplets of rain.
